The Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum is a somber place that tells the story of the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City. The museum displays more than 21,000 artifacts recovered from the building and its vicinity as well as photographs and videos of the bombing and its aftermath.

The memorial features a reflecting pool with 184 empty chairs—one for each person killed in the blast—surrounded by an American Elm tree for every inch of ground covered by the bomb. From there you can see the rebuilt federal building, which now houses government agencies including the FBI and Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
